Quick Advising Sessions!

Chat, Drop-In, and Virtual advising sessions will be available for current NVC students who are in need of quick assistance (average 15-20 minutes). Options are available for students who need the following quick advising services:

• Prerequisite Overrides
• Assistance with identifying resources to support your success
• Assistance in completing Change of Primary Institution (CPI) to Northwest Vista College
• Completing a Financial Aid Appeal (SAP) appeal for students not yet assigned a certified academic advisor
• Review of Course Program of Study (CPOS) for financial aid purposes
• Assistance with ACES navigation
• Information on how to Complete the Academic Dismissal Process

Drop In Advising On Campus:

Quick in-person advising available at the following times inside Desert Willow Welcome Center DWWC202R:

• Wednesday, January 22: 9:00am-6:00pm 
• Thursday, January 23: 9:00am-6:00pm 
• Friday, January 24: 9:00am-4:00pm

Note: Drop in advising will be quick, and spots may be limited. Wait times may very based on student traffic and advisor availability. Services may conclude once capacity is reached.

Virtual Advising via Zoom:

To ensure a secure and personalized experience, students must be logged in with your authenticated Zoom account to access the link for Virtual Advising drop-in sessions via Zoom.

How to join:

1. Make sure you are logged in to your authenticated Zoom account.
2. Click on the link provided below to join the drop-in session.
3. Wait in the virtual lobby until an advising team member is available to assist you. Please have your Student Banner ID ready.
